that is a theory i have about wheatly, however, that he WAS the logic core, survived the incinerator like many of glados' parts, became corrupt like the others(space/adventure/fact cores) and started doing the exact opposite of what he was supposed to. glados probably WAS attached to an int. dampener, but she might have just seen wheatly as a dumbass and put 2 and 2 together.
